Aberdeen International Curling Championship 2016

The finale of the Goldline Scottish Curling Tour takes place this weekend at Curl Aberdeen.  An International field of 20 teams will compete for the £13,500 local prize pot in what is the competitions first year on the GSCT.

The field includes teams from Scotland (7), England (1), Germany (1), Switzerland (2), Russia (1), Slovakia (1), Finland (1), USA (1), Czech Republic (1), Netherlands (1), China (1) and Norway (2)

Team Thomas Ulsrud (Nor) are just one of the top teams competing this weekend, I caught up with their Second, Christopher Svae this morning and asked him if he was looking forward to the weekend. "I always love coming over to Scotland, we're really excited about this new Tournament and looking forward to being part of it"

The draw can be found here.

Results throughout the weekend will be available at

We will also be blogging from the event on Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday will also host the prize giving for the Goldline Scottish Curling Tour.  Our president will be in attendance to present the Galbraith Trophy to the winning team and runners up prizes.

This fantastic new tournament will be a great end to the GSCT so supporters are encouraged to go along to Curl Aberdeen and cheer on these great teams.
